Back in the 7O's, the former USSR and France were in a race to develop the SST, France eventually won with the Concord, and the Soviets cancelled their plans for further testing.  After the break up of the Soviet Union a research and development team in Czechoslavakia found the plans and began to experiment.  What they came up with is the only military aircraft produced in the Czech republic.  An SST designed solely for the trasnport of cruise missiles.  The plane itself utilizes technology that was seriously obsolete even before the year 2000, by todays standards it is considered an antique.  Still the Czechs are proud of their planes, and with a large stockpile of nuclear weapons left over from the break up of the USSR they are attempting to set themselves up as a world power.  (What they have really accomplished is to make everyone else very nervous.)

The first completely cybernetically controlled bomber in the world.  The pilot and navigator sit in a completely enclosed armored shell, cyberlinked to the machine at all times.  The USA hopes this will start a new trend, as it gives extra protection to the pilots.  In case of an emergency, the top portion of the armored shell detaches forcibly by means of explosive bolts, and the pilot can pilot the old fashion way.  In case of ejection the entire armored cockpit of the aircraft is launched away fromt e plane.  (note: even with the precautions, this plane is completely dependant on its comupter system for survival, if the plane has taken enough damage to make cybernetic linkage impossible, then most likely manual piloting is useless.)

The chinese are one of the few countries left in the world that still manufacture saturation bombers.  The sunbear carries an enormous payload, but whats really special about it is it's flying wing design, which actually allows it to turn off the engines at high altitude and glide  to bombing hieght for up to 10 miles.  This allows the aircraft to "sneak" up on targets, with no advance warning from the engine noise.  Once the payload has been dropped, the pilots shut down all but 2 engines to boost fuel economy.   While horrendously antiquated by todays standards,  and useless against any first  or second world powers, in the third world of southeast asia, africa, and south america, these planes still get the job done.  And so china sells them, more than they use them now.  They keep 2 in country at all times in case of uprisings at home however.
