The Rhino was developed for SWAT AND SWAT teams as an APC with a little something extra!  The front of the vehicle is very low to the ground and highly sloped, the frontal armor is also reinforced to allow the Rhino to ram through walls and deliver its 8 man team right into the target zone with the maximum amount of suprise.  While this vehicle is currently still in testing (the test squad assigned to the vehicle is the NCPD C-SWAT division) its overwhelming success has led to an ever increasing demand.  The most dramatic of succes so far was when the Dirty Angels, NCPD's most notorious C-SWAT squad used it to ram through the wall of the Night City Bank and free hostages just last December.  The coverage from this and public popularity has already led to the US armies Delta Force Division making a substantial pre-order.  Unfortunately this machine is strictly urban and features no off road capabilities whatsoever.  However due to the popularity of the vehicle, arasaka has realeased a second version, outfitted with a full communications suite to act as an armored secondary command center.

Mexican Metals was asked to create an APC for the mexican military and police forces, instead they bought out a small bus manufacturer and just retooled the buses coming off the assembly line, adding armor plating and armaments.  So what you get is an extremely heavy and hot bus that is prone to losing an axle and engine problems due to hauling more wieght than it was ever meant to.  Somehow they sell these all over South America and Africa.
